툭, 툭, 툭, 툭.
한 밤의 떨어지는 빗소리가 정겹다.
 
행복은 마음 속에 있는 것
그림을 그리는 행복과
그림 그리는 슬픔의
오고 감 속에서
끝 없는 깊이를 느껴본다.
 
심 연 ( abyss )
그 끝 없음 속으로 나를 던진다.

Drip, drip, drip, drip
Lovely rain dropping at midnight,

Peace is in my mind
Oscillating between
Happiness of painting and
Sadness of painting
I feel the endless depth,

I throw myself into
The abyss, the infinite

복잡한 생활속에서
단 한줌의 작은 평화라도 찾아보고자
그림을 그린다.
그것은 말로는 다 표현하지 못하기에
그림을 빌어서 표현 할 뿐
이 세상에서 마지막 희망은
조건 없는 사랑이라고 했다.
 
전쟁, 평화.
전쟁을 없에기 위해 평화를 부르짖고
그 평화를 만들기 위해 또 전쟁을 한다.
해결하기 위해 고발하고
그 고발 때문에 해결하지 못한다.
 
오늘도 내일도
난 그저 그림을 그린다.
그러나
그림을 그리는 일 만큼은 전쟁이지
결코 평화는 아닌가 보다.
마음을 놓을 수가 없으니 말이다.

I paint
To find even a piece of peace
In my complicated life
I paint as I cannot express the abyss in words
They say the last hope
In this world is the love with no condition

War, peace
They cry for peace to kill the war
Making war for peace
They accuse for settlement not being able to
Settle just because of the accusation

I only paint
Today and tomorrow
But
Painting seems to be war
not peace
Making me unstable
